Yea! The stuff I got from the race! My sister bought me the running book as a gift for running the race!
Oh happy day

Imitating myself on the run.
Please excuse the HUGE sweat marks. Actually no wait, don’t excuse them… I ran 15k… what would you expect…
And then I ran 15k.
It was one of the best runs I’ve ever had. I found my ‘running legs’ fairly early on, my toes hardly cramped, and my iPod actually worked.
It feels a little like a dream… I still can’t believe I did it. The race gave me great hope for the 1/2 marathon. After the race it was the first time I actually thought, ‘holy eff, I’ll actually be able to run the 1/2.”
The above photo was taken right after I crossed the finish line, I was nervous I may puke so a few seconds after this photo was snapped I was on my back staring at the sky, but had a huge smile on my face.
Distance: 15km
Time: 1:42:11.8
Time/km: 6:49 or,
Time/mile: 10:58
I’m happy. At the 5k mark I was at 29 minutes, at the 10k mark I was at 1h 5min, which means I didn’t pace myself well (too fast in the beginning).
I simply must do a mini shout out to my sister, who came in 9th for her age, running the 15km in 1:15 minutes.
It’s race day.
I already have blacked out tonight’s run because I can see the future, didn’t you know?
Tonight I have an excellent 11 kilometer run. My feet don’t hurt, the humidity is gone, there is a nice breeze and a beautiful sunset. My iPod and Nike+, George, work superbly as I run to the 90s top 100hits, because yes, that is what I downloaded last night.
Ps I actually do lose all the weight in the future, stay tuned.
