I’m not sure if it was the weather, my mood, or if I am (wahoo! high five!) just getting better at running, but today’s 5k (3 mile) run marked my first run where I thought, “Huh, maybe, just maybe, I will be able to run the Chicago marathon again this year.”
It’s a glorious day in Melbourne, which made going for a run actually quite easy (I know, whoa), and once I was out on the paths I kinda, sorta, maybe fell into a zone. A ZONE PEOPLE. This rarely, if ever, happens to me. Usually each and every step is a struggle, but with a day like today I just wanted to go-go-go!
It was slow (cough because-I-took-so-many-photos cough) (cough and-because-I’m-a-slow-runner-cough), but I did it, and am better for it, and can now get on with my day.

5.5km (3.4 miles) in 42 minutes.
