These are a Few of my Favourite Things…

I keep saying “thank you” to Matt.
Really, I do.
Last night he told me to stop saying it, as yes, he assured me, he knew. But I just can’t help it because I am truly, truly so very thankful.
He made me feel special this weekend. Loved. (More than usual.) And even the girls at work today commented on how I seemed in another world; in a good, happy world. And I was.
This past weekend Matt gave me my birthday present - and boy, did he deliver.
Actually, if I were to list most of my favourite things in life, somehow Matt nailed them all: wineries, shiraz (lots!), beautiful views, sunsets & bubble baths. Tim tams, milk chocolate, and steak (good God!). Naps, movies in bed, and hot (h.o.t.) springs. And horse-riding(!), cantering in a field is one of my all-time favourite things (note: if I die, I want my ashes sprinkled over these fields. *that’s* how much I love riding)
Anywho, before I get all gushy on yo asses, Matt took me to the Mornington Peninsula (about 1.5 hours east of Melbourne) and you guys, he did good!
I’ll let the photos do the talking, but I am one very lucky girl.

Sometimes I feel like I’m dating a hipster. Look at those glasses!

Bubbles! & Wine! & I am nak-id on my blog!!

Pretty sure I created the biggest sock bun on the sock bun spectrum of world sock buns.

Hmmm steak. Okay. Okay. I didn’t do Paleo on Saturday. No regrets. Stop judging.

THIS. OHMIGOD THIS. I am such an ice cream & chocolate type of gal, but THIS was heaven in my mouth. A white chocolate, frozen, cheesecake mousse, with raspberry sauce. NOM.

The view from dinner. We could see Melbourne (but the lens didn’t pick it up).

The peninsula shooting out.

So, I have this weird thing about sunsets. Like, I *HATE* missing out on them. I hate looking at the sky and knowing there is a good sunset somewhere out there and I can’t see it in all its glory. Anywho, I insisted we finish dinner quickly to go watch this one. It wasn’t the best sunset, but one of my favourites.

Surprise! Did I mention Matt got me flowers? Because he did.

One of the only photos I got of the hot springs. FALSE. The others weren’t accommodating to my cellulite thighs so they didn’t make the cut.

AND THEN WE WENT HORSE RIDING. And as you may or may not know, I love me a good horse ride. Also, I don’t know why but I like this photo with my eyes closed. And I like that horse’s beautiful, glossy rump.

This sounds weird, but it was sooooo nice to touch fur again! I miss having horses and dogs in my life.

LOOK AT THE SHINY COOL SKY REFLECTION IN MY GLASS. NOT. I REPEAT NOT MY MUFFIN TOP. How rude. You’re so looking.

DID YOU MAKE IT TO THE END? My goodness - good for you! GOLD STAR!

I was ALL SMILES in the car on the way home. And get your mind out the gutter, that sexy mark on my neck is from doing Shoulder Press, Push Press and Push Jerks at CrossFit (me = H.Core).
