Scenes From My Hood Part I
Tonight’s crossfit was this: 20 Min Amrap (which means as many rounds as possible in 20 minutes) of 5 Deadlifts | 7 Burpee to Bar jumps | 30 Double Unders (skipping).
I have never in my life been able to do a ‘double under’ (yay me!), which means I had to jump back and forth over a raised broom stick with two feet instead.
I managed to pull out 6.5 rounds.
At one point I stopped to catch my breath and had this mental conversation with myself; wait, are you just being lazy? you could totally do more. No, wait. I can hardly breath. Need air. Need to swallow. But You could keep going if you *had* to. You’re just being lazy. No, wait, I am tired. No, lazy. Wait, tired.
So yea, pushing myself during wokouts is a constant battle I’m working on, but overall I got a full body sweat tonight (despite the chilly Melbourne weather), which is always the goal.
