This was my, Casual-Yet-Cliche-Cute-Because-Everybody-Looks-Like-This Walking around the city look.
Well, it was actually my random pieces outfit because I packed so poorly for Montreal, as I was running SO LATE after the 1/2 Marathon and nearly missed my plane - there may or may not have been frantic tears on the phone to my sister…
I wore this outfit to walk around the really old part of Montreal, taking photos, and walking into and admiring little French boutiques (swoon to all of Montreal boots and knitted sweaters, like seriously… Montreal has some serious style).
It then started to pour with rain, so I hurried into the cutest, little French cafe and found myself a window seat to sip a latte, and read my new book. I felt awfully cliche as I sat there watching the rain pound the window, in fact I actually felt like I was in a movie:  I just needed my French lover to knock on the window, all wet and concerned, as he’d been searching the city for me after our dramatic fight (that neither of us can remember what it was about), but where I, in a burst of raw emotion and in an attempt to be dramatic, threw a vase of red roses at the wall next to him and then stormed out our cute little French apartment… but then he comes into the cafe, and we stare at each other for a while, no words are spoken, and then, as if we read each others minds, we scramble towards each other for a hot, passionate make out session, in that little, cute, French cafe, before heading home, hand in hand, in the rain.
Too much? Oui, oui.  And to think this started out as an innocent post about my outfit…
