Oh yes, friends. The vodka was flowing. I couldn’t even tell you how many drinks I had, but I think it’s safe to assume I guzzled a minimum of 4,503,582 calories.
That would be my vodka/cran bottom left.  I have no idea how I got a drink in my hand so quickly…

The cupcakes I made. They were HUGE (and delicious). I didn’t have time to make two batches, so instead I super-sized one batch.  I ate 1.5 (could have been worse, but also could have been better).
PS What type of smartiebox has NO yellows in it!??! Seriously? They’d have looked so much better with bright yellow smarties. Hint, hint, nudge, nudge Nestle… you should hire a colour-smartie-box-checker.

E + Food^2 = Fat

Hello little tumblr world, 2 days without posting must surely be a record.   My absence reminded me of the strong, positive correlation between the # of posts I do and my weight loss… so…. ya… no posts this weekend = no weight loss and/or perhaps even weight gain.

Bollocks.

My weekend in food, but more importantly calories.

  • McDonalds fruit parfait
  • 1.5 large cupcakes
  • Salsa and some cheesy dip
  • Egg whites scrambled
  • Green salad and veggie soup (food court style)
  • Rice and chicken
  • Chocolate (heaven) balls
  • Copious amounts of vodka like you wouldn’t believe
  • 1 slice of pizza
  • 2 chocolate chip cookies
  • Cheese and crackers
  • Salad, green beans, 1 whole wheat bun and 2 chicken kabobs
  • Fruit salad and ice-cream

My Weekend in Exercise

Whoa! I can’t believe I’m posting this photo. Goal # 2,875 (I seem to have a lot of goals lately): To wear this dress to work this summer.
The dress is size ‘medium’ and obviously didn’t zip up at 184 pounds (when the photo was taken). I have yet to try it on since then, but plan on it this weekend…
Let’s see how long this photo lasts without fear forcing me to take it down…

Encouragement is awesome. It has the capacity… to actually change the course of another human being’s day, week, or life.

So true :)

There Aren’t Enough Days in the Weekend. (True Story)

Friday

  • Leave work at 5pm (hopefully, because omigod so busy)
  • Bake delicious cupcakes I should have already made
  • Curl hair I should have already curled
  • Drive to said friend’s birthday party and dance the night away (I’m driving purely to have an excuse not to drink)
  • Avoid pizza, wings and beer like my life depended on it.
  • Drive home circa 2am from said party
  • Sleep

Saturday

  • Rise n’ shine
  • Go shopping (mother’s day gift and new dress)
  • Lounge
  • Run to field to play frisbee with two favourites
  • Get dolled up in the new dress and drive to 2nd friend’s birthday
  • Drink free unlimited alcohol, take limo to Musiqu.  I am actually really embarrassed I’m going to Musiqu, as it’s incredibly high end (aka not my style), but who am I to say no to free limo, vip service, and bottle service the whole night? Exactly.

Sunday

  • Lounge
  • Run until I sweat all the alcohol calories out of my veins from the night before
  • Go home for mother’s day and enjoy a lovely BBQ dinner with the family
  • Drive home and study (this is so not going to happen, but I like to pretend)

Happy Friday y’all and Weekend!

Take this with a Grain of Salt (or Mrs. Dash if you’re watching your sodium)

I received an email last night from a fellow tumblr which warmed my heart, but it had a sentence in it I wanted to post about, “Congrats on losing as much weight as you have, you make it look easy.”

I wanted to take a quick second to let her know (and you, if you think that), that it’s not easy. Not easy at all. It’s actually incredibly hard and everyday I wake up and put a lot of effort into eating right and fighting the urge to just sit on the couch and drink my sorrows away.

I’m approaching the 30 pound mark soon (that’s right! I saw 162 on the scale this morning!) so I thought I’d pass on the things I’ve learnt thus far…

  1. You have to exercise more than you think.
  2. A half-hour walk doesn’t equal a brownie.
  3. You have time to exercise.
  4. Eating more of something won’t help you lose weight.
  5. Your body is working against you.
  6. Life is also working against you.
  7. You are the only person who can lose the weight.
  8. It’s really hard, every day you have to put effort in. Every day.
  9. This is not a diet; this is your life.

I’m by no means an expert and still have a long way to go (~40 pounds), but once I realized the above list, committing to my myself became a lot easier.

Blast? From The Past: This was one of my many attempts to shed the lard.  It’s from 2007 when my mom offered me $10 for every pound I lost. Shockingly (no sarcasm intended) that motivation wasn’t enough to get me to ‘back away from the food.’
I don’t remember the details of the charts, but it had something to do with my student loans getting paid off as I lost weight.  I also had lots of random, motivational quotes up which apparently weren’t so motivational.
Sigh, little did I know all it takes is a single moment to commit. No charts, quotes, blogs, money… just a single moment where you decide, enough is enough… I can and will do this.

T.P.Cookie.

I have 8 nudey tumblrs following me. Eight.  Perhaps I’m wrong, but I think that’s a fair bit…

Perhaps it’s one’s assumption I’ll be something to look at once I reach my goal weight, perhaps it’s that some believe what lies beneath my clothes is quite magical, or perhaps it’s because the name, ‘The Pink Cookie,’ sounds a lot more scandalous than it is… ?

I urban dictionaried ‘The Pink Cookie’ and was shocked that my little, old tumblr’s name could be misinterpreted as a porn tumblr.  Eeegads.

Yesterday I was reblogged onto a nudey tumblr, which I thought was hilarious, all I can say is thank the good Lord I didn’t show my face.

Speaking of not showing my face, my new goal is to show my face at 130 pounds and not be anonymous anymore. Scary as hell, but I figure I’ll need the motivation for the last 5.

Reasons why I’m in a good great Thursday morning mood

  • Last night I ventured to the TFC (Toronto Football Club) game with 2 FREE tickets I got. I drank a delicious beer and do not regret it.
  • The scale gods this morning decided to overlook said beer incident and I saw a solid 164 on the scale.
  • I get to make lots of glorious, glorious cupcakes this evening for a friend’s birthday tomorrow night.
  • I’m also going to a photography exhibit tonight. I’m excited.
  • Last night I made new friends in my building, and they have the exact same layout as I do (except I’m on the 29th floor, and they’re on the 16th).  It was neat to see how other people (especially guys) decided to set things up.
  • I’m wearing a shirt my mom gave me for Christmas 2007.  I never wore it because it didn’t fit. It now fits perfectly. It’s also silk - ya… think about that. Hello material sticking to any bulge it finds. (photo to come.. hopefully)
  • I’m also showing the belt buckle on my pants. I never do this. Ever. I always wear longer tops, or ensure tucked in shirts fold over a little.
  • I sold some of my stocks today and made some mad money. Well.. what I consider ‘mad money.’  Up 22%. True story.
  • In 24 hours it will be Friday
  • I got a wicked weight loss comment from a friend I hadn’t seen since last summer. The count is now at 3. Yay!
  • Every time I touch my face with my hands (cough cheeckbones cough) I really can feel the weight loss difference.
  • I’m really in the “I’m going to do this” zone. I actually want to go for a run after work and not eat bad food. I know - seriously, who am I?!
